Monster's University Inspiration Post

Monster's University Inspiration Post

As a Pixar made film, I had high expectations for Monster's University and it did not let me down. The art was gorgeous, the story relatable, and the college setting made especially applicable to my current stage in life. They did such an amazing job of blending college life into a monster oriented appearance. Buildings had the esteem architecture of institutes of higher learning, but with an added monster twists. Also, the film's entire message was well done and showed its viewer that college does not always lead to success. Hard work and determination is also beneficial.

Disney did a great job advertising this film, with merchandise and commercials. What made them over the top though, was the fact that they made Monster's University into an actual academic website. It had quotes from students, jerseys, and other school oriented merchandise to purchase as well as a link to admission to the school. Although Monsters University was a prequel of the popular Pixar film Monsters Inc., it did a great job of blending the old world we knew from the first film with new places and experiences. The most memorable was the plight of hard working go-getter Mike Wazowski. He kept trying so hard to fulfill his dream and does not back down even after so many belittle his efforts. Pixar makes Mike the underdog and it makes the viewer connect with Mike's unnerving effort to become a scarer. Monsters University also plays upon the opposing roles of hard work against natural abilities. In conclusion, I recommend Monsters University to any artist, college affiliate, or animation lover. You will not be disappointed.
